LONDON MARATHON

What an excellent weekend for Jersey’s runners in London with the Blue and Red of Sarah Bruce being spotted coming down the Mall on the telly! Your Secretary takes the credit for the much-improved BBC coverage having informed Christina Boxer over dinner (who’s a name-dropper?) that the elite athletes and animal costumes got all the attention to the detriment of club runners – see the influence we have! Good runs all round, but particularly from Barbara Parker (2.58) to get 46th overall woman, within the top 25 British women and 3rd in the W40 category. Also a great run from Shirley Rowe (4.16) 5th in the W65 category.
